About

Nick Sanchez cuts hair for a living. He's also a graphic designer. WORKING CLASS started because of the gap between those two worlds.

The gap

Work a chair long enough and you start noticing details other people miss. Capes were the clearest example: cheap fabric, sizing that never held, snaps that broke in a few weeks, designs that looked slapped together instead of made for barbers. The gear barbers use on every single client was treated like an afterthought. Nobody was designing for the chair the way barbers actually work at the chair.

The mission

Bring luxury to the everyday barbershop. Not fragile, not precious — luxury as in it's actually built right, looks right, and holds up under real shop hours, for every barber, not just one flagship shop. That's what's behind every cape: a dual-closure neck system with metal snaps and an adjustable clasp, hair-repellent water-resistant fabric, fade-resistant printing, reinforced stitching. Designed by a barber, tested in a real shop.

Earn Your Stripes

Nobody hands you a reputation behind the chair. You build it cut by cut, client by client, over years. That's earning your stripes, and it's the standard we hold WORKING CLASS to. Every piece has to earn its spot in a working barber's rotation. No shortcuts, no filler, no logo slapped on a blank.
